Nestled conveniently next to the train station, Kaptenshamn is a solid choice for families seeking a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere during their vacation. The charm of the hotel combined with its tidy, spacious rooms makes it easy to settle in. My family and I appreciated the friendly cleaning staff who assisted us during our stay; navigating simple phrases with them using Google Translate added a delightful touch to our interactions. Kaptenshamn’s prime location not only facilitated easy access to the city center but also allowed us to explore nearby attractions. We enjoyed a few rounds at Flygstadens Golf Club and Strandtorps Golf Club, which were perfect for keeping active as a family. We also made good use of the well-equipped kitchen and shared lounge area, which encouraged a sense of community with other guests. While the buffet breakfast did seem a bit pricey, it was convenient, and we often prepared simple meals ourselves.
